The 2008 SASIG PDQ Workshop took place in Paris in the middle of October. This workshop was the final one, the group finished its work with this meeting. The two main issues were presentations of the final conformance test candidates and the future of the SASIG PDQ documentation.
An update of the conformance test result presentation (Activities - Conformance Test Results) will be done soon.
The plan to handle the SASIG PDQ Deliverables is as follows: - Migrate SASIG PDQ Guideline V2.1 to V3.0. In the new version, chapter 3.1 'Geometric Quality Criteria Descriptions' is replaced by an external link to the ISO 10303-59 document containing shape data quality criteria. - The new version V3.0 shall be given to ISO SC4 to initiate a new ISO PAS of it. - All deliverables shall be given to a new ISO SC4 workinggroup 13 'Industrial Data Quality', which in future will publish a new set of quality standards under ISO 8000-numbering.
This sasig-pdq.org homepage will be kept alive for the next 2 to 3 years to allow contacts to the SASIG PDQ originators.

Although the PDQ WG has skipped the Fall Workshop 2006 the next meeting will take place in spring this year. Even if the meeting schedule is not fixed yet, the main issue for this meeting is clear: the SASIG PDQ conformance tests of at least two candidates. For the 3rd day it is planned to have an open CAD vendor and Checktool vendor session, again. Feel free to ask for details and/or participation ... |

The spring 2006 Workshop took place at ARGR in Boulogne, France. While the first two days had been "internal" with participants from GALIA, JAMA/JAPIA and VDA, the third day was "open" for checktool vendors and CAD system vendors, too. This day was a great success with the introduction of the PDQ Guideline conformance test procedure and the information exchange regarding PDQ related functions and system strategy.
